Zip Care is an essential professional product for the maintenance of drysuit zippers, whether they are metal (brass/bronze) or plastic (such as YKK BDM or TIZIP). Its dual-action formula is designed not only to lubricate but also to remove damaging residues that compromise the waterproof seal.
Key Features:
-
Dual-Action Formula: Unlike simple wax, Zip Care acts as both a cleaner and a lubricant. It dissolves salt, sand, chlorine, and dirt deposits that accumulate between the zipper teeth, preventing jams and breakages.
-
Integrated Brush Applicator: The bottle is equipped with a soft brush head that allows for even liquid distribution and mechanical scrubbing between the teeth for deep cleaning.
-
Friction Protection: Drastically reduces the mechanical effort required to open and close the zipper, protecting the slider and extending the drysuit's operational life.
-
Universal Compatibility: Safe for use on all types of diving zippers. It does not contain silicone or heavy paraffins that could attract additional dirt or damage the drysuit's rubberized fabric.
-
Water Resistance: Leaves a thin protective film that does not immediately dissolve when submerged, ensuring constant lubrication throughout the activity.
Maintenance Benefits:
-
Leak Prevention: A clean and lubricated zipper seals more hermetically, reducing the risk of drysuit flooding.
-
Long-Term Savings: Replacing a drysuit zipper is one of the most expensive repairs; regular use of Zip Care prevents premature component wear.
-
Ease of Use: The pocket-sized format allows for maintenance directly in the field, before or after diving.
