IP Pressure Adjusting Screws

This component, visible in the image, is a flat-profile threaded screw with an Allen head, designed to be inserted inside the main body cap (the diaphragm chamber ring previously seen). Its function is to micrometrically adjust the preload of the main spring of the first stage.

Component Details:

• Hex Drive: At the center of the component, a precisely recessed hexagonal housing stands out. It allows the technician to insert an Allen wrench (hex key) to screw or unscrew the piece, modifying the internal spring tension even when the regulator is pressurized and connected to the test bench or control pressure gauge.
• External Perimeter Thread: The fine thread that wraps around the entire outer diameter is designed to ensure micrometric sliding. This allows for micro-adjustments of the intermediate pressure (IP), typically calibrated between 9.2 and 9.8 bar in Tecline first stages.
• Highly Resistant Material: Machined from high-strength marine brass with chrome plating or an anti-friction/anti-oxidation dark finish. It must withstand the constant and significant thrust of the first stage's main spring without yielding or deforming.

Notes for Service and Calibration:

• Increased Pressure (IP): By screwing this component clockwise, the internal spring is compressed, leading to an increase in the intermediate pressure delivered to the second stages.
• Decreased Pressure (IP): By unscrewing counter-clockwise, the spring expands, lowering the intermediate pressure value.
  

⚠️ ATTENTION: The adjustment of this component directly affects the stability of the regulator and the breathing effort. It must be performed exclusively by qualified personnel using a control pressure gauge for low-pressure outlets (LP gauge).
