Drain valve NEW VERSION

Tecline OPV / Dump Valve (New Thread)

This overpressure and rapid dump valve is a critical safety component for buoyancy control and equipment protection. The New Thread model introduces an updated thread standard, optimized to ensure superior watertight sealing and greater ease of assembly on the latest generation Tecline wings.

Key Features:

Dual Function (Automatic and Manual):

• Overpressure (OPV): The valve is calibrated to open automatically if the internal pressure of the wing exceeds safety limits, preventing explosions or damage to the heat welds during rapid ascents.
• Manual Dump Valve: Equipped with a cord and ergonomic knob that allows the diver to manually dump air with a simple gesture, facilitating buoyancy management in a horizontal position (trim).
• "New Thread" System: The thread geometry has been redesigned to offer a more precise and robust mechanical coupling, reducing the risk of accidental unscrewing and improving the integrity of the joint with the wing's flange.
• Low-Profile Design: The external design is compact to minimize bulk on the wing's surface, limiting hydrodynamic drag and the risk of entanglement in confined environments.
• Corrosion-Resistant Materials: Constructed from high-density technopolymer with an internal marine-grade stainless steel spring, materials chosen to ensure smooth operation even after intensive use in saltwater.

Operational Advantages:

1. Active Safety: Protects the structural integrity of the wing at every stage of the dive.
2. Mechanical Reliability: The gasket seat is designed to prevent micro-leaks, ensuring that the wing maintains the desired air volume.
3. Simplified Maintenance: The screw-in system allows for quick removal for periodic cleaning of salt or sand residues that could compromise the seal.
