Tecline OPV / Dump Valves (Old Version)
These rapid dump and overpressure valves are designed for installation on Tecline wing flanges that use the traditional thread standard (pre-dating the New Thread system). They function as both an automatic safety device and a manual air dump point.
Common Features:
-
Dual Operational Function: * Automatic: The valve opens independently if the internal pressure of the wing exceeds the safety calibration, protecting the wing from rupturing during ascent.
-
Manual: Allows for voluntary air dumping by pulling the cord, which is essential for trim management in a horizontal position.
-
"Old Version" Compatibility: Specifically designed for older generation Tecline wings. They feature a classic standard thread, incompatible with new systems using a different pitch.
-
Marine Grade Materials: Made from robust technopolymer with an internal stainless steel spring, ensuring corrosion resistance and long-term reliability.
-
Flat Seal Seat: Designed to accommodate a disc gasket that ensures a watertight seal between the valve and the wing flange.
Variant Analysis:
Old Version - Standard
-
Design: Characterized by a classic pull knob, usually small in size with a spherical or cylindrical profile.
-
Usage: Ideal for those seeking a clean hydrodynamic profile and a standard configuration that minimizes the risk of accidental snagging with lines or equipment.
2. Old Version - Big Handle
-
Design: Equipped with an enlarged pull knob (Big Handle). This handle is longer or wider than the standard, often with a textured surface for improved grip.
-
Usage: Specifically designed for use with thick or dry gloves in cold water. The generous size makes the control extremely easy to locate and operate even in conditions of reduced tactile sensitivity or low visibility.
