The Tecline Linecutter DLC II is a compact, powerful safety tool designed for immediate access in an emergency. Unlike a traditional knife, the linecutter allows you to cut lines, nets, and thick ropes with one hand, minimizing the risk of accidental cuts to your wetsuit or hoses.
Technical Features:
-
High-Quality Stainless Steel Blades: Equipped with ultra-sharp stainless steel blades, designed to resist marine corrosion and ensure a clean cut on the first try.
-
DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) Body: The structure is treated for maximum durability, maintaining a thin and light profile that does not create hydrodynamic drag.
-
Integrated Safety: The "beak" design protects the blade, making it safe to use even in stressful situations or low visibility.
-
Sheath included: Made of sturdy Cordura with a retention system that prevents accidental loss, but allows for quick extraction.
Choose your mounting system:
Tecline offers two specific sheath versions to perfectly adapt to your DIR or recreational setup:
1. Vertical Mounting
Ideal for: Mounting on the BCD or backplate shoulder straps.
2. Horizontal Mounting
Ideal for: Positioning on the waist belt, on shoulder straps with upward extraction, or on the computer/dive light strap.
Advantage: The flat profile perfectly conforms to the waistline, preventing the tool from protruding. Excellent for those who prefer to keep their chest area free of accessories.
Why have one (or two)?
In technical diving, redundancy is life. The Linecutter DLC II is so light and compact that it can be easily added to any configuration without affecting trim.
Technical Tip: Many divers choose the Vertical version for the left shoulder strap and the Horizontal version to keep in a pocket or on the belt as a backup. It is the most effective tool against "ghost nets" and strong nylon lines.
