Delrin Spool 17 m

The 17-meter DTD Spool is an ultra-compact technical reel, designed to meet the rigorous standards of technical and DIR diving. Thanks to its reduced profile, it is the ideal choice for those looking for a safety and ascent management tool with minimal bulk.

Key Features and Materials:

Delrin Monobloc: The reel is made from a single piece of highly resistant Delrin. The solid construction eliminates any joints or gluing points, ensuring exceptional resistance to impacts, drops, and the severe stresses of technical diving.

Ultra-Flat Profile: It maintains an outer diameter of 76 mm but with a reduced width of only 30 mm. This geometry makes it extraordinarily flat and thin, perfect for disappearing inside drysuit pockets without creating bulk or for attaching to harness D-rings with maximum hydrodynamics.

Configuration and Equipment:

• Line Specifications: It comes complete with approximately 17 meters of 2 mm thick PA (polyamide) line. The technical line is designed to offer high tensile strength and wear resistance, minimizing the risk of tangles or accidental knots.
• Double-Ended Snap Hook: The reel comes with a short double-ended snap hook made of stainless steel, designed to resist marine corrosion and ensure smooth and immediate use even when handling equipment with thick or dry gloves.

Ideal Use:

This 17-meter spool is a versatile and reliable accessory, perfect for various support functions:

• Decompression Reel: Optimal for deploying a SMB (signal buoy) from medium-low depths or during final decompression stops.
• Safety Reel: Excellent as a backup line for small tie-offs, jumps in cave diving, or for marking the way back in reduced visibility conditions.

Target Users:
An essential component for technical divers, cave divers, and advanced recreational divers who demand robust, minimalist equipment that meets the highest safety standards in the industry.
