Tecline Side Mount BCD SIDE 16 Avenger – 16 kg Buoyancy
The Tecline SIDE 16 Avenger is the advanced and perfected version of Tecline's Side Mount system, specifically designed for exploration in extreme environments and for technical divers who demand total hydrodynamics, robustness, and a clean, uncompromising harness configuration.
Buoyancy and Hydrodynamic Trim:
-
Buoyancy Capacity: 16 kg (35 lbs), a volume designed to offer excellent buoyancy support even with heavy multi-cylinder setups (steel or aluminum).
-
Avenger Geometry: The wing is shaped with an ultra-flat profile that perfectly conforms to the diver's back. Air distribution is optimized to ensure instant horizontal trim and to keep the highest point of the wing as close to the body as possible, minimizing the risk of entanglement.
Innovations and Harness Configuration:
-
Avenger Harness System: Unlike traditional systems, the Avenger harness allows separate adjustment of the shoulder straps and waist belt, making donning and customization on the body extremely quick and precise.
-
Integrated and Modular Weight System: Equipped with weight pockets strategically positioned along the spine and on the sides, allowing for a significant amount of weight to be perfectly distributed for optimal center of gravity balance.
-
Control Unit Positioning: The inflator and dump valves can be configured and swapped in position according to the diver's preferences, ensuring always quick and comfortable access.
Materials, Robustness, and Colors:
-
Outer Shell: Made of high-density fabric extremely resistant to cuts, tears, and continuous abrasion, typical of cave, wreck, or obstruction diving.
-
Color Range: Available in Black, Red, Blue, or Camouflage color variations to personalize your style in the water.
-
High-Quality Hardware: All D-rings, buckles, and attachment points are made of marine-grade stainless steel to resist corrosion and heavy loads.
Ideal Use:
The SIDE 16 Avenger is the ultimate tool for technical side mount diving, cave diving, and wreck exploration. It is dedicated to those seeking a modular, extremely robust system capable of virtually disappearing on the diver's profile during the dive.
