Unlike common aluminum backplates, the DTD model stands out for its superior industrial technical specifications:

• Hard Anodization: The plate undergoes a deep hard anodization process. This treatment creates a ceramic protective layer that shields the aluminum, making it completely immune to saltwater corrosion and incredibly resistant to scratches and abrasions.
• CNC Millimeter Chamfering: All perimeter profiles and internal slots for the harness are machined with computer numerical control (CNC) milling. The complete absence of sharp edges prevents wear, fraying, or cutting of the 50 mm webbing and protects the wetsuit fabric.

With a record weight of less than 600 grams, this version features a reduced length, specifically recommended for divers shorter than 165 cm. It prevents the backplate from hitting the lower back or glutes, optimizing the posture and hydrodynamic trim of smaller body types.
