The particular "D"-shaped annular geometry prevents air accumulation at the top or sides, allowing for smooth buoyancy control and eliminating blind spots during gas discharge. The double-bladder construction uses 1000 denier Cordura® on the exterior for maximum mechanical resistance against rubbing or abrasion, and ultrasonically welded 290 denier Textane for the watertight inner bladder. Completing the features are the VIS (Variable Inflating System) control unit with chromed marine brass IN/OUT buttons, a 40 cm oval corrugated hose, and the overpressure/rapid dump valve positioned on the lower left.
