Reef Hook

The Tecline Reef Hook is an essential accessory for divers who frequent tropical seas or areas with strong currents. Designed to offer effortless stability and security, this tool allows you to temporarily anchor yourself to rock formations or non-living reef sections, enabling you to observe marine life or take photographs while keeping your hands free and your trim stable.

Key Features:

• High-Quality Materials: The hook is made of stainless steel (SS), a material chosen for its maximum corrosion resistance in saline environments and its structural robustness.
• Single Hook Design: The shape is designed to ensure a secure and quick grip on rock fissures or ledges, facilitating operations even with thick gloves.
• Complete Fastening System: The product comes ready to use, including:
• High-strength line: A robust line that connects the hook to the diver.Bolt Snap Carabiner: A stainless steel carabiner (generally 90mm or 100mm depending on the configuration) that allows the system to be quickly attached to a D-ring on the BCD.
• Size and Portability: Lightweight and compact, it can be easily stored in a BCD pocket or attached to the side when not in use.

Why use it?

• Safety in currents: Ideal for "stationing" during drift dives without consuming excessive air trying to fin against the current.
• Reef Protection: Used correctly (attaching it only to rocks or dead spots), it prevents the diver from grabbing live corals with their hands, protecting the marine ecosystem.
• Photography Support: Essential for underwater photographers who need absolute stability to compose the perfect shot in the presence of water movement.

Tips for use:

1. Always make sure to attach the reef hook to solid rocks or dead coral.
2. Keep the line slightly taut to ensure the hook stays in place.
3. After use in the sea, rinse thoroughly with fresh water to preserve the shine of the steel and the durability of the line.
