DIR Regulator Set – R5 1st Stage + TEC2 2nd Stage + Pressure Gauge

Complete twinset configuration compliant with DIR standards. Features two compact monolithic diaphragm first stages, ultra-compact top-of-the-range second stages, a technical metal pressure gauge, and an accessory kit.

The Tecline R5 TEC2 Regulator Set + SPG DIR Set, available on DIR-STORE, is the ultimate all-in-one technical package for optimal and rational management of a twinset. This premium kit combines two balanced diaphragm R5 first stages – renowned for their extraordinary compactness and exceptional resistance to freezing – with the latest generation TEC2 second stages and a metal pressure gauge (SPG) pressure control system. Designed in full compliance with the DIR (Doing It Right) philosophy, it utilizes a monolithic fixed-body architecture with angled outputs that allows hoses to run parallel to the cylinders, reducing bulk behind the neck and eliminating moving parts or pivot points.

Technical Specifications:

• Dual R5 TEC First Stage (Thermal Compactness and Fixed Body): Constructed from robust chrome-plated marine brass with a design aimed at optimizing volumetric spaces, the R5 first stages use a balanced diaphragm mechanism with high pressure stability. The system features efficient thermal insulation against freezing (antifreeze). The fixed monolithic architecture (without a rotating turret) eliminates potential extra mechanical wear points and guides the hoses linearly along the wing's profile. Each first stage offers 4 LP and 2 HP ports.
• Dual TEC2 Second Stage (DFS Technology and Ultra-Comfort): The pneumatically balanced second stages implement the innovative DFS (Direct Flow System) direct flow system. This architecture optimizes the internal fluid dynamics of the gas, drastically reducing the total work of breathing (WOB) at any depth, regardless of the residual pressure in the cylinders.
• Anti-Freeze and Mechanical Shielding: Designed to withstand sharp temperature changes and chemical-mechanical stresses, the second stages feature internal metal components with a non-stick Teflon protective coating and an integrated heat exchanger at the connection point. The protective structural polymer casing is frontally shielded by a solid stainless steel ring.
• Technical Metal SPG 52 mm Pressure Gauge: The set includes a professional dive pressure gauge with a chrome-plated brass casing, tempered glass, and a highly legible luminous dial. It is paired with a black high-pressure (HP) hose with customizable length (0.57 m, 0.60 m or 0.65 m).
• Dual Regulation and Safety: Both second stages integrate a lever for Venturi management (essential for inhibiting accidental free-flows on the backup second stage positioned at the neck) and a micrometric knob for manually calibrating the inhalation effort.
• Custom DIR Style Hose Geometry: The included hoses faithfully follow the technical standard: a long hose (1.93 m, 2.00 m or 2.10 m) for the primary second stage (the donor) and a short hose (0.61 m) for the neck backup.
