The Tecline R5 TEC1 + SPG Hogarthian Octopus Set, available on DIR-STORE, is a technical regulator system designed for advanced recreational and technical divers who choose the rigorous cleanliness and safety of Hogarthian (DIR) geometry for single tank configurations. This package eliminates redundant hoses and inefficient placements: the primary regulator is mounted on a 1.93 m long hose to be instantly donated in an emergency, while the backup second stage is kept readily accessible just under the chin via a comfortable elastic neck bungee. Leveraging the robustness of the R5 first stage and the proven reliability of the TEC1 second stages, this set offers high-level performance at any depth.

Technical Features:

• R5 First Stage (Balanced Diaphragm and Dry Chamber): Made of solid chrome-plated marine brass, the R5 is an extremely compact and robust diaphragm first stage. It features a sealed dry chamber that completely isolates the internal mechanical parts from contact with water. This design not only prevents the accumulation of sand, mud, or sediment but also eliminates the risk of free-flow during cold or deep water dives (DIN 300 bar connection).
• Dual TEC1 Second Stage (Smooth and Balanced Breathing): Both TEC1 second stages are pneumatically balanced to minimize overall work of breathing (WOB). They ensure an incredibly consistent, smooth, and linear airflow regardless of depth and residual tank pressure.
• Flow Control and Adjustments: The second stages are equipped with an external micrometric knob for manual adjustment of the initial breathing effort and a lever for managing the Venturi effect (essential for preventing accidental free-flow of the backup second stage when positioned around the neck).
• Hogarthian Layout and Proflex Hoses: The configuration reflects pure DIR principles. The primary regulator is connected to the 1.93 m Proflex long hose (which passes under the right arm, diagonally up the chest, and around the back of the neck), while the backup is mounted on the 0.61 m Proflex short hose at the neck. Proflex hoses ensure incredible flexibility, eliminating the annoying tugging on the mouth typical of rigid rubber hoses.
• 52 mm SPG Technical Pressure Gauge: The set includes a professional analog submersible pressure gauge with a 52 mm chrome-plated brass case and a high-visibility dial. It comes with a 0.60 m black rubber high-pressure (HP) short hose, designed to be attached to the left D-ring of the harness via the included snap hook, maintaining the diver's overall hydrodynamics extremely clean.
• Included Technical Accessories: The kit comes complete and ready for diving with 2 x 88 mm single-gate stainless steel marine-grade snap hooks (to be attached to the pressure gauge and primary second stage) and an elastic bungee for the backup regulator.
