Scubatec Balancing Adjustment Knob
The adjustment knob is the external control component designed for balanced Scubatec second stages (such as the FX3 and FX4 series models). This control allows the diver to manually adjust the tension of the internal spring in the demand valve.

Function: Allows varying the inspiratory effort (crack pressure) during the dive. By rotating the knob, it is possible to stiffen the regulator to prevent free-flow phenomena (e.g., in current or during descent) or soften it to maximize breathing comfort at depth.

Ergonomics: Extensively knurled outer surface to ensure a secure grip and micrometric adjustment even when wearing dry or neoprene gloves.
Technical Note: The knob acts directly on the valve stem inside the second stage housing. During periodic maintenance, it is essential to check the integrity of the O-rings housed on the stem connected to the knob to prevent micro-water infiltrations.
