Piston with Spring for Scubatec Second Stage
The piston with spring assembly is the mechanical heart of the Scubatec second stage (FX series) delivery valve. This set of components manages the opening and closing of the air flow in response to the movement of the lever operated by the diver.

Operation: The spring pushes the piston against the valve seat to block the airflow; when the diver inhales, the vacuum moves the lever, overcoming the spring's force, allowing delivery.

Balancing: In FX3/FX4 models, the piston design allows for pneumatic compensation, making breathing effort independent of cylinder pressure.
Technical Note: These are critical components subject to mechanical wear. The spring can lose elasticity over time, and the piston must be perfectly clean. Replacement or thorough inspection is recommended during the annual regulator service.
