The Scubatec FX3 / FX4 second stage spare parts kit, distributed by DIR STORE, is the original and certified maintenance package essential for the periodic overhaul of these balanced second stages.

Although the FX3 and FX4 models differ in their external casing, they share the same internal pneumatic architecture. The kit is designed to replace all components subject to mechanical wear, material aging, and pressure deformation.

Kit Contents

The kit includes only original Scubatec parts, made with elastomers and polymers selected for maximum breathing responsiveness:

Poppet Seat: The critical rubber/polymer component that interfaces with the nozzle (orifice). It is the element that ensures the closure of the airflow; its replacement eliminates any micro-leaks or continuous flow phenomena.

Main Diaphragm: Made of highly sensitive silicone, it is responsible for sensing the negative pressure during inhalation. The new diaphragm ensures that the inhalation effort remains at factory minimum levels.

Exhaust Valve: The silicone "mushroom" that allows exhaled air to escape while preventing water from entering the casing.

• Poppet O-ring.
• Supply conduit O-ring.
• O-ring for the effort adjustment system (external knob).
• O-ring for the Venturi lever (Dive/Pre-Dive).

Hose O-Ring: Sealing gasket for the connection between the LP hose and the second stage.

Maintenance Notes

Technical Intervention: Overhauling a balanced second stage requires precise calibration of the valve's cracking pressure and adjustment of the nozzle (orifice). It must be performed exclusively by authorized technicians equipped with calibration tools and ultrasonic tanks for cleaning internal components.

Lubrication: Use only a thin layer of certified silicone grease (Christo-Lube type) only on dynamic O-rings, absolutely avoiding contact of the lubricant with the poppet seat and the diaphragm.

Mouthpiece Replacement: Although not always included in all service kit batches, it is recommended to inspect the mouthpiece and replace it if it shows signs of bites or cracks.
