The Scubatec F40 First Stage Service Kit, distributed by DIR STORE, is the essential package of original and certified spare parts for the periodic maintenance of Scubatec's top-of-the-range hyper-balanced diaphragm model.

The F40 model is distinguished by its swiveling turret configuration with a design optimized for hose routing in technical configurations (such as twinsets or sidemount). The service kit is designed to restore factory performance, ensuring maximum reliability in terms of inspiratory effort and intermediate pressure stability.

Kit Composition

The kit includes exclusively original Scubatec components, made from materials suitable to withstand the stresses of technical diving and cold water:

High-Pressure Seat (HP Seat / Poppet): The heart of the sealing system, made of high-density technical polymer. This component mechanically wears against the orifice and must be replaced to prevent increases in intermediate pressure (IP creep).

Main Diaphragm: Made of high-quality elastomer, designed to flex precisely and transmit ambient pressure to the internal balancing mechanism.

Sintered Filter (conical or cup-shaped): A high-capacity filtering element placed at the inlet of the DIN connection to protect internal passages from particulate matter, rust, or sediment present in cylinders.

Complete Set of O-Rings:

• Swiveling turret O-rings (to ensure sealing during rotation).
• Pushpin and balancing chamber O-rings.
• O-rings for HP (7/16") and LP (3/8") ports.
• DIN fitting sealing O-ring (cylinder interface).

Teflon (PTFE) sliding washers: Anti-friction and anti-extrusion rings that protect O-rings and allow smooth movement of mechanical parts.

Locking Clip (C-clip): The elastic metal ring needed to securely fasten the swiveling turret to the main body of the first stage.

Technical Specifications and Compatibility

• Gas Compatibility: Components certified for use with Air and Nitrox (up to 40%). For use with higher oxygen percentages, the metal body must be degreased and cleaned beforehand in accordance with oxygen standards.

Safety Notes for the Maintainer

Technical Competence: Servicing the F40 model, given the complexity of the turret and the precision required for intermediate pressure calibration, must be performed exclusively by qualified technicians who have the appropriate instrumentation (ultrasonic tank, precision gauges, and specific wrenches).

Cleaning Procedure: Before installing the kit, it is mandatory to decalcify and thoroughly clean all metal components to remove oxidations that could compromise the life of the new seals.

Lubrication: Use a minimal film of compatible silicone grease (e.g., Christo-Lube) only on the friction points indicated in the Scubatec technical manual.
