High-performance technical inflator, lightweight and optimized for use in cold water and extreme environments.
The original DTD Model X01K Inflator, available on DIR-STORE, represents the technological evolution of control units for BCDs and technical wings. Specifically designed to overcome the structural limitations of traditional metal or standard plastic inflators, the X01K model leverages the engineering properties of latest-generation technopolymers to ensure impeccable operation even in the most severe diving conditions.
Key Features and Benefits:
-
High-Performance Technopolymers: Both the inflation/deflation buttons and the entire internal mechanical components are made from advanced polymers. This material ensures extraordinary structural lightness combined with mechanical resistance comparable to that of metals.
-
Cold Water Specialist: Technopolymer components offer a reduced thermal conductivity coefficient compared to metal components. This feature translates into a better thermal response at low temperatures, drastically reducing the risk of internal micro-freezing caused by the expansion of compressed air.
-
Total Resistance to Limescale and Fouling: The chemical nature of the polymers used prevents limescale, salt, and marine fouling from adhering to internal surfaces. The result is a control unit that maintains smooth button operation over time, eliminating the risk of continuous free-flow.
-
Ergonomic Design and DIR Philosophy: Compact profile, free of sharp edges and optimized to prevent accidental snagging on lines or guide ropes. The sensitivity of the buttons is calibrated to offer millimetric gas modulation even when wearing dry gloves or thick neoprene mittens.
