LP Jacket Hose and BORAFLEX Drysuit Hose
Boraflex low-pressure (LP) hoses are high-quality components designed for connecting BCDs and drysuits. Unlike common rubber or braided hoses, Boraflex hoses are made from thermorubber, an advanced thermoplastic material that offers excellent mechanical performance in underwater environments.
Technical Features:
-
Thermorubber Material: Guarantees extreme flexibility even at low temperatures, eliminating the "memory" effect and facilitating proper hose routing around the body or on twinsets.
-
Resistance and Durability: Thermorubber is highly resistant to UV rays, ozone, and abrasion, ensuring a longer operating life compared to traditional rubber.
-
Lightweight: Significantly lighter than standard hoses, while maintaining a solid and secure structure.
-
Standard Fittings: 3/8" male end for the first stage and a standard quick connector compatible with most inflator hoses and inflation valves.
Available Lengths:
-
20 cm / 25 cm: Ideal for Argon pony bottles or redundant configurations.
-
40 cm: Optimal for Sidemount configurations or for drysuits on smaller body types.
-
51 cm / 55 cm / 60 cm: Intermediate lengths for a clean jacket setup, avoiding protruding loops.
-
65 cm / 70 cm / 75 cm: The most commonly used standard lengths for drysuit connection in Backmount configuration.
-
90 cm / 100 cm: Extra-long versions for specific routing needs or divers of imposing stature.
Operational Advantage: The softness of the thermorubber reduces mechanical stress on drysuit valves and BCD inflator hoses, improving the diver's comfort and overall hydrodynamics.
