The Large Toothed Weight Stopper with D-Ring is a high-level integrated hardware component designed to provide a fixed, ultra-robust, and completely immobile anchor point along the harness webbing. This accessory combines the action of a weight stopper with internal knurling and the convenience of a large welded D-ring.
Unlike smooth models, the presence of teeth/serrations on the body of the weight stopper grips the weave of the 50 mm webbing under tension. This ensures a granite-like lock that eliminates any risk of slipping or lateral movement, even when the ring is subjected to the strong hydrodynamic load of heavy cylinders or equipment under tension.
Key Features and Technical Specifications:
-
Heavy-Duty All Stainless Steel: Entirely made of marine-grade stainless steel for total protection against rust and corrosion caused by saltwater.
-
Large 5.5 mm D-Ring: The welded ring is constructed with an enlarged 5.5 mm diameter steel rod, offering extreme structural strength. It features a horizontal inner clearance of 51 mm and a vertical inner clearance of 40 mm, ideal for easily accommodating and clipping the largest carabiners.
-
Toothed Anti-Slip Body: The external dimensions of the weight stopper plate are 61 x 27 mm. The internal teeth ensure definitive mechanical grip on the webbing.
-
Standard Compatibility: Specifically designed to integrate perfectly with classic 2-inch (50 mm) harness webbing.
Target Use:
This toothed weight stopper with large D-Ring is an essential structural element for technical, exploration, and Hogarthian/DIR configuration divers. It is the preferred choice for those who need wide, stable side clipping points that will not move a single millimeter from their original position during the dive.
