The Beavertail Side 16 D-rings (available in Right and Left versions) are specific anchor points designed to be installed on the side wings of the "beavertail" of the Tecline Side 16 Side Mount system. These accessories are crucial for managing the configuration and positioning of cylinders or auxiliary equipment.
Key Features:
-
Material: Made of high-quality stainless steel, ensuring maximum corrosion resistance, structural robustness, and long-term durability in extreme marine environments.
-
Ergonomic and Bent Design: Unlike flat D-rings, these models feature a curvature (offset) designed to facilitate the attachment and detachment of snap hooks with one hand, even while wearing thick gloves.
Specific Orientation:
- Right Version: Shaped to perfectly fit the angle of the right beavertail fin.
- Left Version: Mirror image of the right, for symmetrical installation on the left side.
Technical Purpose: They serve as lower attachment points for Side Mount cylinders, allowing for the maintenance of a hydrodynamic and stable profile during diving.
Advantages of Installation:
-
Load Stability: The specific shape prevents the D-ring from moving or rotating on the webbing, keeping the attachment point always in the correct position.
-
Ease of Use: The metal bend distances the ring from the beavertail base, creating the necessary space to effortlessly insert the snap hook.
-
Clean Configuration: They allow for optimal management of airflows and bulk volumes, typical of the Side Mount philosophy.
Technical Specifications:
-
Compatibility: Specifically designed for the Tecline Side 16 (Side Mount) system.
-
Placement: Beavertail side wings.
-
Sale: Typically sold individually to allow for specific replacement of the necessary side.
