Premium back comfort, wetsuit protection, and a colorful hydrodynamic housing for your buoy.
The DTD Buoy Holder Backplate Cover, available at DIR-STORE, is the perfect accessory for divers who want to combine the seating comfort of the tank block with impeccable and hydrodynamic management of safety equipment. This padded panel fits perfectly between the metal backplate (steel or aluminum) and the diver's back, acting as a protective casing and a hidden pocket for the decompression buoy (SMB) or lift bag.
Key Features and Benefits:
-
Protection and Active Comfort: Reduces the rigidity of the metal plate against the spine. It is an essential accessory both when transporting equipment dry (e.g., long walks to the dive site or waiting on a boat) and during dives in warm waters with thin wet suits.
-
Hydrodynamic and Clean Profile: By housing the lift bag or buoy directly within the backplate's silhouette, the harness's D-rings are freed from dangling loads. This reduces drag in the water and eliminates the risk of the buoy snagging on lines, nets, or narrow passages.
-
Complete Fastening Kit Included: Unlike other models on the market, the DTD backplate cover already includes all the necessary mounting hardware. The kit includes marine-grade stainless steel screws and special anti-loosening Delrin nuts, ensuring a solid and flat-profile fastening without scratching the backplate.
Color Customization (Style & Safety):
This model allows you to break the monotony of technical "total black" and coordinate your equipment with your style or that of your team, making you instantly recognizable in the water. The pocket can be ordered in 5 color variations:
-
Classic Black (for a sober and traditional configuration)
-
Technical Red (high visibility)
-
Blue (elegant and deep)
-
Safety Orange (ideal for immediate visual identification)
-
Purple (exclusive and distinctive)
