Line Cutter 50 mm with Pouch - DTD
The DTD Line Cutter is a compact and highly effective cutting device, designed to instantly sever lines, ropes, nets, or fishing lines in emergency situations. Unlike a traditional knife, its protected blade design drastically reduces the risk of accidental injury or damage to wetsuits and BCDs.
Main Features:
-
Interchangeable 50 mm Blade: Uses an extremely sharp, high-quality stainless steel blade. The cutting geometry is optimized to "hook" the line and sever it with a single pulling motion.
-
Robust Polymer Body: The blade holder is made of high-strength plastic material, which is lightweight and completely immune to salt corrosion. The ergonomic design allows for a secure grip even with gloves.
-
Carrying Pouch Included: Comes with an ultra-resistant ballistic nylon sheath. The pouch features a back loop that allows it to be attached to standard 50 mm webbing (backplate strap, waist strap, or shoulder straps).
-
Velcro Closure System: The pouch has a security flap with a hook-and-loop closure that prevents accidental loss of the tool, while ensuring very quick one-handed extraction.
-
Ultra-Flat Profile: Thanks to its compact dimensions, it can be positioned in easily accessible points (such as the waist strap or computer strap) without creating hydrodynamic bulk.
Safety Advantages:
-
Clean Cut in Emergencies: Effective against thin nylon lines (fishing lines) which are often invisible and difficult to cut with serrated knives.
-
Total Protection: The blade is recessed in a safety slot, making it impossible to injure oneself or puncture the BCD during frantic use.
-
DIR/Technical Standard: It is the preferred cutting tool in technical configurations due to its simplicity, reliability, and ease of positioning.
