Descrizione

The Marseillaise Belt is the most technical, safe, and efficient weighting system for freediving, spearfishing, or scuba diving with thick wetsuits. Unlike classic rigid nylon belts, this model uses the physical properties of elastic rubber to solve the problem of lead weights slipping due to wetsuit compression at depth.

The design of the "Marseillaise" pin buckle, combined with the gripping nature of the rubber, ensures that the weight remains perfectly attached to the diver's body, eliminating annoying trim shifts and posture changes during duck dives or finning.

Key Features and Technical Specifications:

  • Premium Elastic Rubber Compound: The elastic strap accommodates volumetric changes in the ribcage and abdomen. This allows the belt to be tightened securely on the surface without compromising or limiting proper deep breathing, then contracting automatically at depth when the wetsuit compresses due to pressure.
  • Quick-Release Stainless Steel Buckle: Made entirely of marine-grade stainless steel, the buckle features a pivoting pin that ensures immediate mechanical grip. In an emergency, the structural design allows for a quick release and jettisoning of the weights (ditching) with a single hand movement.
  • Optimized Size and Adjustment: With a total length of 140 cm and 11 pre-punched adjustment holes, the belt fits perfectly on any body type and with different wetsuit thicknesses (from thin summer suits to undersuits and heavy 7-8mm wetsuits).
  • Increased Anti-Slip Thickness: The consistency and thickness of the rubber create natural friction with the slots of traditional or plastic-coated weights, preventing them from moving, bumping, or slipping along the sides.

Main Fields of Use:

Freediving and Spearfishing: The primary tool of choice for keeping weights fixed on the lower back/pelvis area during vertical descents.
