The Uwatec/Aladin Bungee Mount for Computers is a technical mount designed to replace the original rubber strap of Uwatec digital instruments. It is an essential accessory for divers who follow the DIR philosophy or practice technical and advanced diving.

General Description

This rigid mount is specifically shaped to accommodate the circular module of Uwatec computers and digital depth gauges. By replacing the standard strap with an elastic bungee cord system, the instrument becomes more secure, easier to wear, and more hydrodynamic.

Technical and Construction Features

• Mount Material: Made of high-density technopolymer, resistant to impacts, abrasions, and UV rays. The structure is rigid to protect the edges of the instrument.
• Bungee Attachment System:
• Features multiple side holes for threading a 3mm or 4mm elastic cord (bungee).
• The system allows for a configuration with two independent elastic cords: in case one cord breaks during a dive, the second ensures the computer remains firmly attached to the arm.
• Low-Profile Design: Reduces the overall height of the instrument on the wrist compared to the original casing, drastically decreasing the risk of snagging on lines, nets, or crevices.

Advantages Over the Original Strap

• Automatic Wetsuit Compensation: The elastic cords exert constant pressure. When the wetsuit (wet or dry) compresses due to hydrostatic pressure at depth, the bungee automatically tightens, preventing the instrument from wobbling or turning on the wrist.
• Ease of Use: Allows the instrument to be put on with one hand, simply by sliding it onto the arm, an operation much simpler than closing a traditional buckle, especially when wearing thick dry gloves.
• Simplified Maintenance: The elastic cords are standard components that are easily available and replaceable in a few minutes in case of wear, ensuring an almost unlimited lifespan for the mount.

Assembly Instructions

To install the mount, you need to remove the computer module from its original rubber boot and press-fit it into the Tecline mount's slot. Then, thread the elastic cords through the holes and secure them with simple knots, adjusting the tension based on your wrist circumference with the wetsuit on.
