Elastic band for 7 LT

The Tecline 7L Stage Elastic Band is a technical accessory designed for managing regulator hoses on stage or decompression cylinders. It is specifically designed to fit the diameter of 7-liter aluminum cylinders, the most common standard for decompression gases such as EAN50 or pure Oxygen.

General Description

This retaining elastic band is made to securely wrap around the body of a 7-liter cylinder (standard diameter approximately 152 mm). Its primary function is to keep the regulator hose folded and close to the cylinder when not in use, preventing it from dangling dangerously or creating accidental snagging points during the dive.

Technical and Construction Features

• Material: Composed of a high-strength elastic rubber compound, formulated to withstand prolonged exposure to UV rays, salt water, and low temperatures without losing elasticity or cracking.
• Compatibility: Specifically sized for 7-liter cylinders. The tension is calibrated to provide a secure grip on the hose, while still allowing for smooth one-handed extraction.
• Pull Tab: Equipped with a robust loop made of synthetic material (usually Cordura or reinforced webbing). This tab is essential to allow the diver to grasp and lift the elastic band with ease, even when wearing dry gloves or thick neoprene gloves.
• Color: High-visibility orange or green. This color choice facilitates immediate identification of the correct cylinder within a team or during dark/low visibility conditions, helping to distinguish different decompression gases.

Typical Configuration

For a correct 7-liter stage configuration, it is recommended to use two elastic bands:

• One positioned at the top (near the valve) to secure the initial curve of the hose.
• One at the bottom to secure the second stage and the final part of the hose.
