Tecline Side Mount BCD SIDE 16 (16 kg Buoyancy)
The Tecline SIDE 16 is a complete buoyancy control device (BCD) system, designed specifically for side mount diving. Developed to meet the needs of both recreational divers and demanding technical divers, this BCD stands out for its extremely clean profile, modularity, and ease of buoyancy management.
Buoyancy and Volume Distribution:
-
Buoyancy Capacity: 16 kg (35 lbs), an optimal volume that ensures generous and safe buoyancy even when using multiple tanks (steel or aluminum) and heavy equipment.
-
Hydrodynamic Profile: The wing is shaped to distribute air primarily in the lumbar area and around the diver's center of gravity. This design promotes a perfectly horizontal trim and minimizes drag in the water.
Key Features and Structure:
-
All-in-One System: The SIDE 16 integrates the wing, technical harness, and weight systems into a single unit, offering a ready-to-use solution that is highly adjustable to the diver's body.
-
High-Strength Materials: Constructed with robust materials designed to withstand the abrasions and rubbing typical of diving in confined environments such as caves, mines, or wrecks.
-
Weight Management: Includes dedicated weight pockets positioned along the spine, optimizing weight balance and freeing up the diver's sides.
-
Control Unit and Dumps: Equipped with a precise inflator for air control and strategically placed rapid dump (overpressure) valves that are easy to operate in a horizontal position.
Ideal Use:
The Tecline SIDE 16 is the perfect choice for side mount divers of all levels. Thanks to its 16 kg buoyancy and structural robustness, it is ideal for long cave/wreck explorations as well as for divers seeking comfort, freedom of arm movement, and perfect stability in open water.
